About Us

This hotel booking service is run by Tourism Information and Promotion Centre of Sapa (TIPC), which is a government non-profit organisation supporting the sustainable tourism development in Sapa in collaboration with the Worldhotel-link network of locally owned hotel e-marketplaces, which brings you this Sapa Hotels booking service.

The goal of Sapa Hotels is to provide a simple and dependable way for travellers to book hotels and guesthouses in Vietnam at discount rates. Through this web site, Sapa Hotels hopes to provide wider accommodation choices for travellers while building cooperation and promoting best practices within the broader hospitality industry in Vietnam.

The team at Sapa Hotels has a deep passion for everything in Sapa: mountains, forests, climate, and the town... because all of them live here now. But if you asked them what they liked most, they would all say the minority people of Sapa. In Sapa there are 5 minority ethnic groups who are rich in culture: The Mong; the Dzao; the Dzay; the Tay and the Xa Pho. Each group has their own unique traditions and customs which have been kept over time. It is amazing to see them going to the weekly market in their newest colourful clothes. Any one who works in tourism is proud when talking about them.

Having worked in tourism and had the opportunity to travel, it gives them great enjoyment to meet and make friends with new people, learn new things from all over the world, and discover new cultures. Since 1991, they have been involved in a project in Sapa called the "Sustainable Tourism Project", which they participate in cooperation with the Netherland Development Organisation (SNV) in Vietnam. This is one of their many activities which seek to benefit the local community. They have a keen interest in many sustainable development programs, as well as focusing on the preservation of both natural and cultural environments, especially the nature aspect, as this is one area feeling many of the negative effects of tourism. The way we applied sustainable tourism in Sapa is that we set up sustainable development programs in the "Master Plan" of a given area, which included aims to increase the people's awareness through brochures, media, website etc.; develop the "Community Based Tourism" model to help the local minority people take part in tourism through allowing tourists to witness their culture & traditions first hand; and annually meeting for ‘Environment Day'.
